exploring London art :)

Since Marvin, Tanny, and I overslept that Sunday evening after the Ilagan family left, we were up very early the next day. I slept from 6pm-5am. hows that? :p Then when we woke up, we found out that Uncle Jorge left us a message on fb saying that there's a dinner prepared for us in the kitchen. Hungry that we are, we went downstairs, ate the salmon and cream cheese Uncle Jorge made for us, and we weren't able to go back to sleep any more.

After breakfast, the three of us cleaned the car which has not felt any water or vacuum since last year! Too bad I wasn't able to capture the before and after look of the car. HAHA! After washing the car, we took a bath, dressed up and left the house earlier than Uncle Jorge and Uncle Alan. Independent Globetrotters huh?:p

we strolled and shopped at WHSmith, Shoe Zone, and Pound Land around Brixton and met up with them at the underground station.

from Brixton Station, we transferred to the Northern Line

going down at London Bridge
we met Arnel near the station, finally! then we went to George Inn which is the only 16th century traditional pub left in London :)

that's Arnel! also a Batangueno :)

Then, we walked to Thames Riverside for lunch. And along the way, we passed and entered the Clink Prison Museum and the pub where Shakespeare used to go chill.

originally a prison for females
Shakespeare's favorite pub :)

i just love the red door :p
that's Shard in the background which is by far the tallest building in UK

and there's St. Paul's Cathedral

And then it was time for lunch! Had sandwiches and our favorite crisps :D

Arnel had to leave after lunch. And then we went to Tate Modern and witnessed ART  <3

Globetrotters/Future Artists :))))

Ai Weiwei's Sunflower Seeds exhibit

I don't know what is so extraordinary with bringing sunflower seeds from China to London but yeah, this is worth an open exhibition at Tate Modern. We actually asked Ai Weiwei, the artist, about his inspiration for this 'art', but we never had the chance to check out his answer

now, these are works of art!

Aside from the different types of art and artists we witnessed at Tate Modern, London just has a lot to offer!

art from sand <3

 street art :)

indeed, ART is EVERYWHERE! :D
