French country living :)

It was an 11-hour drive from Amsterdam to the countryside of France. How did we survive? Stop-overs and coffee breaks! :p We missed Marvin on this trip because he went to Vienna where some of his relatives are living.

We arrived at the countryside around 9 or 10pm, and it was really like a ghost town. Not one person was walking, and we were like the only ones traveling. Good thing, a Kebab house was still open and guess what? There were people inside! HAHAHA :p The Persian restaurant was around 10-15 minutes away from Le Saussay where we stayed for 4 days and 3 nights.

Thanks to Nick and Sharon, our Uncles' super friends, we had this lovely place to stay!

There was no television nor internet. It was a perfect way of resting from our trip to Amsterdam, and also a way of preparing ourselves for our trip to Paris :)

On our first morning at Le Saussay, we got up early and bought our food supplies :)

I gained a lot of weight on our stay here because there was no much walking, and our living pattern was EAT, READ, and SLEEP.

Then, the next day we went to the Brou Market which was only open until lunchtime. Live animals, clothes, fruits, vegetables, cheeses, shoes, watches...name it! The Brou Market had it :D

That afternoon, we went to Fraze and other parts of the countryside where we also visited a couple of churches.

We also spent some time at Thilon-Gandais. And.....we got to taste the award-winning black pudding/ sausage! :D It is made from cooking dried blood.

unexpectedly YUMMY! :)
On our last day, on our way to Paris, we visited Notre Dame de Chartres. The architecture and the stained glass windows were just so beautiful!

details!

exterior beauty :)
A relaxed and peaceful living in rural France made our Eurotrip even more memorable! <3
