I AMsterdam :)

Tanny and I stuffed only one luggage, our two backpacks, and two personal bags for our Amsterdam-France trip. But of course, those were just for the two of us. The boys had their own share of load in the car :p And... we were all set!

It was a 1.5 hour drive to Dover where we rode the ferry to Calais. We had a traditional English breakfast on our way. Lovely! And then, it was another 4-5 hour drive to Amsterdam. We stopped over for lunch at Oosterhout.

Uncle Jorge, the Navigator! :)
during our stopover :)
Through the kindness of John Veirkens, the car had a shelter in Amsterdam :) It was also at John's place where we watched the Royal Wedding which we missed for the Queen's Day. John is a very wise man and one thing that I will never forget about him is this line, and I quote, "Be someone for yourself first, before anything else." Thank you so much John! :D

After parking the car at John's garage, we rode the tram to Henk's apartment, our home for 5 days :)

view from Henk's apartment :D

We left our stuff at the apartment, then off we enjoyed the beautiful city of Amsterdam! Thanks to the winds from Russia, it was unexpectedly cold. We then had a few drinks with Henk and Johan :)

of beautiful architecture and grachts (canals)

traditional Dutch beer
trivia: the rainbow flag signifies that the place is a gay pub :)

On a different day, after watching the Royal Wedding, we had lunch at Vondel Park then we visited Van Gogh Museum.

And of course, we couldn't and we didn't miss the chance to cycle around Amsterdam! It was very interesting how car drivers respect cyclists :) We even reached the countryside through our bicycles :D

pedal breaks :p
loving the countryside <3

Then, one night, the globetrotters decided to explore the beauty of Amsterdam at night aka the carnival and the red light district. hihi :p

e
i didn't ride BOOSTER MAXXX because i cannot die without seeing the Eiffel tower  that time :)))

these are what they give away when our own Timezone gives stuffed toys #justsaying

the girls were oh so very pretty and hot! too bad, no pictures were allowed

And oh, we also went to Anne Frank house where Tanny and I bought a copy of her diary :)

Amsterdam has the young and very alive feel. I love the city so much, I'm coming back....uhm.....yeah, I'm coming back! :p
