BRIGHTON: beach of pebbles :)

We spent our last weekend (well Friday-Sunday) in Brighton! It was an  hour and a half drive from London or a 45-minute train ride.

It was just so cold that Friday and we wanted a laid back (in my term, pa-cool HAHA) outfit so tadaaa! Hoodies and sneaks! Our first stop was Alan and Muna's lovely home where we stayed for two nights. We settled in, and decided to have a tour of the city. So, we walked, took the bus, then walked some more. Although it was breezy that day, we had our Fish n' Chips lunch by the beach.

After lunch, we visited the Royal Pavilion --- King George IV's Oriental-inspired haven. It's beautifully built and amazingly crafted. The huge dragon chandeliers left my jaw hanging. Seriously.

hot choco and scones at THE Royal Pav! :D
Then, after window shopping, we decided to walk all the way home which took us about 30 minutes.

witnessed Brighton beauty!
We wanted to empty our stomachs and be prepared for the wonderful Moroccan dinner Alan and Muna cooked for us. I tell you, that Moroccan dinner was one of the best I had, ever! Of course, we had wine and three sets of appetizer first. My favorite was the salmon and cream cheese :D I forgot what the other two were made of. My bad.

The Moroccan dinner was composed of roasted lamb, vegetable stew, and kous kous. I didn't mind I was really gaining weight that time. I ate a lot!

And look what we had for dessert --- various pastries! They were perfect with mint tea :)

And that was our first day! On our second day in Brighton, we experienced the Artists' Open House. Our good friend Arnel came all the way to Brighton to spend the day with us. Literally, the artists' houses were open to everyone. Their works and other artsy stuff were displayed and sold in their homes. Great stuff, indeed!

Because Arnel had to be back in London by 4pm, we decided to leave the Open House to our Uncles and the couple. The globetrotters with Arnel rode the bus to the center where we had lunch at a Chinese restaurant.

thank you for the treat, Arnel! :D

It was another breezy day, but the strong winds did not stop us from going to the beach side and to Brighton Pier.

Since it was our last day with Arnel, the three of us invited him for hot chocolate and waffles. Our treat! :)

It was a lovely afternoon indeed! Here's a picture of us three :)

And that was all about our Saturday in Brighton. On our way back to London, Uncle Alan brought us to Devils Dyke. Amazing view!

Brighton was one perfect way of spending our last days in UK. Here's a lovely remembrance of our trip :)

thank you so much Alan and Muna! <3
